Wondering how to get a free hosted email services for your own domain name at no cost at all?
Try Google Apps: http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en/group/index.html or https://www.google.com/a/cpanel/standard/new3
I have been using this service since 2007, i can say that its quite reliable to use, 99% uptime and up to 7GB per mailbox and increasing.
Enter your domain name to get started on the registration process.
After you enter your domain name, create an account by fillingl up the registration form.
After you create an account, you will be redirected to the dashboard and configure the MX Records of your domain so it will point to the google servers
If your domain is registered in Godaddy, you can directly change the MX Records by login here:
Update your MX records to use Gmail for your domain – GoDaddy.com
https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/google/gmail_login.asp
Enter the domain name that is registered in your Godaddy account then press confirm
See the image below for the actual confirmation after the mx records has been updated in your domain registry.
After the confirmation, we are all set, we need to wait for few minutes to populate the data while google server will automatically update the email server for your domain.
Now let’s change the webmail url to it is easier to remember for faster access, just to go Email Settings and click on CHANGE URL link.
Select or enter “webmail” or “mail” or whatever as a subdomain for your domain.
We’re almost done, you can now access the webserver using the subdomain url.
Congratulations, you made it you can now start login on your webmail using the Google Apps
i.e. http://webmail.domain.com

For the ones who have already registered 2 years back they can get upto 1000 free email slots for each domain. Now they have limited to 100 or even less (don’t know the exact number) But the service rocks! I rate 10/10.
not just 100 but now its 50, its great that you register your domain few years ago so you still have the advantage and privilege of the google apps features
